Sometimes known as whole wheat flour, wholemeal flour is a healthier flour that is higher in fiber as compared to your regular plain flour. It has a much higher nutrient level as it contains 100% of the wheat grain, including the bran.
Products made with wholemeal flour tend to be slightly darker, and have a more crumbly texture.
More liquid is required when using this product as wholemeal flour is more absorbent than your regular white flour.
In general, it results in heavier bread and baked goods.
How to use
Our wholemeal flour works well when baking delicious cinnamon buns and chocolate chip cookies. It is also used to make popular products such as wholemeal bread. salmon and broccoli quiche, honey pancakes and carrot cake cupcakes.
